There are two main causes of hydraulic cylinder failure on access platforms, that is seal failure and chrome rod failure. It is usually wear, corrosion or damage to the chrome rod that causes the rod seals to fail. Even a tiny scratch, often not visible to the naked eye, can cause the rod seals to fail. Once the rod seals fail, the equipment becomes dangerous and needs immediate attention.

Your Alma cylinder will be repaired then tested twice, to make sure that it is perfect when it is delivered back to you. If you wish, we can also provide you with a Test Certificate, which shows the test pressures, the date tested and so on.
